Eat My Words

For the past week or so since I got my cold, I've been walking around saying, "I'd rather be nauseous every day than feel congested like this."

And everyone, wisely, said, "You're wrong. You'll see!"

Today, on my way home from CrossFit, I knew I was going to vomit. I told myself you wait until you get home. You must not barf while driving and you are NOT pulling over to barf in a stranger's yard. I just about made it, too.

I parked so crookedly it looks like a drunk driver ran up on my curb. As soon as I was out of the car I was losing myself all over the flowers, the walk, the driveway, the door.

In my hat and gloves, I paraded down to the Pittsburgh Potty making a disaster of my house and clothes. This is a nightmare. I'm sitting on the kitchen floor right now eating pretzels and wishing for congestion. Hopefully, Corey will come home for his lunch break and clean it all up so I can continue sitting on the floor eating pretzels.

Why did you go inside? You should have just kept doing it in the bushes. Then you'd have nothing to clean up and wouldn't it be just like composting? Get some gingerale... feel better. Hopefully you don't ruin thanksgiving with your vomiting.

Oh dear. Sorry to hear that. Does this mean after you stuff yourself silly on Thursday, you will have a different method for dealing with it than usual? Just before you sink down on the couch for a stuffed-into-a-stupor nap, you will instead run to the bathroom? I hope not!

I hope you feel better soon. If you are lucky, you just have a stomach bug and not preggo-sickness. (Not that that's really any better, I suppose, though at least if it's a stomach bug. if you can keep a tylenol down for fever you'll be fine in a few days.)

My morning (really, evening) sickness is just starting to go away. Coca-cola was my saviour!

With PeaceLoveMath, I almost passed out in the old, old Giant. They let me sit down on the stairs up to their little office until it passed. That's why I ate nothing but Campbell's tomato soup and crackers for so long.
